Holiday get togethers aren’t just about delicious food and good music. Guests and family members also want to be entertained. So, I created this collection of 9 free printable Christmas games for adults that you can enjoy with your family, friends and colleagues.

These holiday party games are suitable for small and large groups and will make Christmas get-togethers more fun and enjoyable. You can play my printable Christmas games at holiday parties with your friends, at family gatherings, at your bible study group or with your colleagues at the next office Christmas party.

This collection of holiday-themed games is a little text-heavy, which is why I titled the post printable Christmas games for adults. Of course, you can play these printable holiday games with kids, too. Printable Christmas games can be played on long car drives, between meals, or to counter holiday boredom. Especially older children (ages 7+) will enjoy these games.

1) Christmas Bingo

Christmasbingo is a fun printable Christmas game for adults and kids, too. The game canbe played with bingo daubers or counting chips, but to make it more fun andfestive use peppermint starlights or Hershey kissers as markers.

Here arethe easy steps to play holiday bingo:

Prep work

• Cutout the calling cards and put them in a container.
• Handeach player one of the 4 different bingo boards and markers.
• Choosesomeone to be the caller.

How to play Christmas bingo

• Thecaller pulls random cards from the container and announces what it says.
• Eachplayer marks the words called.
• Thefirst player, who covers five squares in a row–up and down, sideways ordiagonally, is the winner.

2) Holiday Alphabet

This holidayalphabet game is easy to play and fun for all ages. I play this game usually withmy niece and let her suggest words. The rules are super simple:

• Nameone Christmas related item, food or activity that starts with each letter ofthe alphabet.
• Thefirst person to finish their A to Z wins the game.

3) Christmas Scattergories

This freeprintable Christmas scattergories game is my family’s favourite – probably becauseI’m slow and always finish last lol. Anyway, printable holiday scattergoriesare fun to play at parties and with older kids. The rules for how to playChristmas scattergories are pretty straightforward:

• Seta 1- to 2-minute timer.
• Toplay the game, write down a word for each category that begins with the letter ontop.
• Oncethe timer runs out, tally up the scores.
• Pointsare given for each unique answer.
• Thenplay the next round.
• Theperson with the most points wins.
• Oh,and feel free to pick letters other than SANTA, too.

4) Holiday Movie Match Game

Theholiday movie match game is always a hit at the Christmas party in my office. Youcan play this Christmas game individually or in teams. Movie buffs and trivia enthusiastswill love it!

Theinstructions for how to play this printable holiday game are really simple:

• Simplynote the letter (e.g. “A.” for Keira Knightley) next to the movie the actorplayed in (e.g. #1 “Christmas Vacation”).
• Seta timer to 5 minutes.
• Thefirst person or team who matches the most actors and movies correctly wins.

5) Word Scramble

Lookslike Santa’s elves mixed up the Christmas words! Let’s unscramble them. You canplay the Christmas world scramble game alone or with a group. If you feel up toa challenge, set a timer and race to find out who solves the word scramblefirst.

Christmas is celebrated in many different countries and cultures around the world. It’s no surprise that Merry Christmas exists in every language you can think of!

This Christmas Around The World game will have players try to match translations of Merry Christmas to the language it belongs to.

You can let everyone do it on their own time or set a timer and have everyone play together. The player with the most correct answers wins!

8) Guess The Christmas Carol

I hope you know your Christmas carols – because they are key to winning this game! The object is to match the clues to popular holiday songs.

This game is a bit challenging, and you might find yourself scratching your head trying to figure some of these out. Luckily, there’s a handy answer key to help you out!

9) Two Truths And A Lie

How well do you know your guests? I bet you’ll learn something new about your family or friends by playing this Two Truths And A Lie game with them.

To play, each participant writes down three statements about themselves, from their favorite Christmas memories to the worst holiday gifts they’ve ever received.

Two of these statements must be true, and one must be a lie. The other players have to try and guess which statement is untrue.

Printable holiday games tips

PrintableChristmas games are easy to set up and a very cost-effective way to entertainas you don’t have to purchase expensive materials and supplies to play. Hereare a few tips to help you prepare for a party or gathering:

• Youcan print on any type of paper, regular printer paper works just as well as cardstock.
• Makesure to have enough copies for each of your guests or students. If prepping foran office holiday party, print a few extra copies.
• Also,print out the answer keys where included.
• Makesure to have plenty of pencils and/or markers handy.
