- EastEnders update on missing character in Cindy Beale return story
Cindy is back with some big news.
EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders has aired an update on a missing character in Cindy Beale's return story.
The latest instalment followed up on Cindy going with son Peter Beale to finally introduce herself to long-lost daughter Cindy Jr off-screen. The character was originally played by Sex Education's Mimi Keene but has remained off-screen since Cindy Sr's return.
However, Cindy had decided to cut short her visit with Cindy Jr to return to Walford, where she comforted estranged husband George over learning the truth about his biological father's death.
The former spouses shared an intimate moment where Cindy insisted she'd always be there for George despite their past troubles. Meanwhile, Ian wasn't pleased that his wife had come home early to comfort her ex-husband.
In among the drama back in Walford, viewers also got an update on how Cindy Jr had taken the news that the mum she'd never known was alive her entire life and living it witness protection.

Cindy had got upset with George when he asked her not to tell anyone that they'd discussed his family situation, since his partner Elaine might get upset.
"I've just been half-way across Europe trying to build a relationship with the daughter I abandoned at birth," Cindy fumed.
Cindy ended up storming off when George insisted he hadn't asked for her to cut short her trip. Later, George apologised to Cindy for interrupting her visit with Cindy Jr with his family dilemma.
Cindy admitted she'd only had a chance to speak with Cindy Jr briefly, adding: "[It was] just long enough for her to tell me she wished I really was dead."
When Cindy acknowledged that she shouldn't have expected Cindy Jr to forgive her, George reminded her that daughters Anna and Gina loved her very much.
"Just give [Cindy Jr] some time, a bit of space, she'll come round in the end," George predicted.

The last time viewers got some information about Cindy Jr was when Cindy Sr revealed to Ian that her daughter had just split from long-time boyfriend Liam Butcher in Germany.
Last year, Michelle Collins also expressed her hopes for EastEnders to bring back Cindy Jr for an on-screen appearance at some point.
“I have mentioned her, obviously. I can't really tell you too much about her,” Collins told Digital Spy and other media. “But I know she is alive. That's about all I know. But possibly, who knows?
“A lot has happened to her [Cindy Sr]. She's been through a lot and she's almost got PTSD – she is a bit traumatised, but still a very strong character. I think these shows write really well for women and I was really happy with particularly that week and the progression of the script.”
Will we see Cindy Jr again?
EastEnders airs on Mondays - Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
