Parents Need to Know
Parents need to know that After Everything, based on the successful Wattpad stories, has less sex than previous entries in the series, and more soul-searching by main character Hardin. Part of his evolution involves dealing with his alcohol problems, and the film shows heavy drinking. He also gets into a fistfight with another man that ends with Hardin getting a severe beating. There are several relatively explicit sex scenes with no private parts revealed, and plenty of sex talk. A man films himself having sex with a woman and the sharing of the tape online causes her serious problems. Hardin is getting his life together and growing up, with help from friends and parents who show him unconditional love and offer him advice about being a mature human. What's the Story?
In AFTER EVERYTHING, Hardin (Hero Fiennes Tiffin) has hardly enjoyed the time since his successful book came out. That's because he lost Tessa (Josephine Langford) as a result of the publication. Still unable to wrap his mind around their break-up, he's started drinking again, and he's behind by months on submitting the draft of his follow-up book, for which he's already been paid an advance. On the urging of his parents, he decides to get away from London to try to start fresh. He goes to Lisbon, where former friend Nathalie (Mimi Keene) is living. They haven't talked since he betrayed her in a way that changed her life for the worse. But now she's doing well and invites him back into her circle. With her help, Hardin starts to get his own life on track again. But will it be enough to win Tessa back?
